چکیده

Background: Petroleum hydrocarbons that are released from industrial processes cause damage to aquatic life and degrade ecosystems by accumulating in the food chain, allowing living organisms produce toxic secretions. Methods: In this study, a pumice stone was used remove total petroleum (TPHs) wastewater south refinery company Iraq/Basrah coagulation flocculation using design of experiments (DOE) approach method analyzing screening designs measurement samples GC instrument. Results: The maximum removal 99% at pH 3, dose 0.5 g, time 60 min, comparison made between DOE multiple linear regression (MLR) determine effectiveness system used, which proved its incredible effectiveness. Conclusion: According results, great convergence actual prediction results found, while MLR very far predicted results. high efficiency found removing South Refineries Company. Pumice is widely available market cheap economically.

Assessment of Endotoxin Removal from Reclaimed Wastewater Using Coagulation-Flocculation

Following biological treatment, wastewater continues to have endotoxic active materials. However, because there is a trend of potable reuse and because endotoxic active materials potentially have harmful effects on human health, their removal from water is crucial. Lipopolysaccharide endotoxin has hydrophobic groups, and their removal using a coagulation-flocculation alternative is believed to ...
